Privacy
Your notes stay yours.
Last updated 10 October 2026
In short:
Merlin's Library keeps your notes on your own device. It has no account, no ads and no tracking.
This website only collects your email address if you join the waitlist, and only to tell you news about the game.
Who we are
Merlin's Library is made by Jesse, an independent game developer in the Netherlands. For anything about your data, write to jesse@merlinslibrary.net.
The library
- Your notes are read from, and saved to, a folder on your own device. They are never uploaded.
- There is no account, no cloud sync, no cloud AI and no analytics.
- The game only goes online to buy Premium on Google Play. That payment is handled by Google; on Steam, your purchase is handled by Valve. We never see your payment details.
The waitlist
- What: your email address, and nothing else.
- Why: to send you news about Merlin's Library, such as when it comes out. Never ads for other things, and we never sell or share it.
- Basis: your consent, given when you join. You can take it back at any time.
- Where: the form is handled by our host, Netlify, which stores the sign-ups; a copy of each sign-up arrives in our email inbox (Gmail). These services may process data outside the EU, under the safeguards the GDPR requires.
- How long: until you ask us to remove it, or until the waitlist is no longer needed.
Visiting this website
- No cookies, no tracking, no analytics. The fonts are served from this site itself.
- Like any website, our host processes your IP address for a short time to deliver the pages and keep the site safe.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or take back your consent, by emailing us. We answer within a month. If you're not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
